Cloudy Bay 25th anniversary event at Maru Bldg

I’m a big fan of Cloudy Bay, so I was delighted when MHD asked Syn to produce their special summer event at Maru Bldg (till 18th) and Shin Maru Bldg – (from 19th to 30th of July) The theme of the event was Yuka from Kyoto and to highlight just how good Cloudy Bay is to drink during the summer the Japanese somelier Takehiro Nobukuni attended and provided tasting notes and Japanese actress Rei Kikukawa attended wearing a Cloudy Bay inspired Yukata and had even prepared her own past recipe to compliment the wine.
私はクラウディ・ベイの大ファンなので、今回SynにMHD様からこのイベントのプロデュースの依頼があった時はとても嬉しかったです。同イベントはスペシャルサマーイベントとして、丸の内ビル１F『Cafe Ease』で18日まで開催をしていました。その後19日からは、場所を新丸の内ビルの７Fにあります丸の内ハウスに移して、今月の３０日（金）まで開催をしています。
同イベントのテーマは、京都の納涼床、そしてクラウディ・ベイがいかに夏の季節に合うお酒ということを披露するとということで、日本を代表するソムリエ、信国 武洋さんに会場にゲストとしてお越し頂き、色々とワインの飲み方などアドバイスを頂きました。そして、女優の菊川怜さんもクラウディ・ベイにインスパイアされたデザインの着物をきて会場に登場。彼女自身が考案したオリジナルパスタも同時に披露していただきました。
The setting for the Cloudy Bay event is inspired by Yuka, but without water? a nice creative touch was their use of iPad’s with the Koi Pond application using Japanese sounds of the summer, a simple but fun idea to play with over a bottle of wine.
このクラウディ・ベイのイベントは、納涼床にインスパイアされたものですが、私たちは水の存在も大切と考え、なおかつシンプルでワインと一緒に楽しめる面白いアイディアということで、iPadのアプリケーションにある『Koi Pond 』を使って、日本の夏の音を演出しました。
Cloudy Bay will be featured at Maranouchi House this week at all the restaurants and with their new pricing, you should be able to drink a bottle of Sauvignon Blank for around ¥5,000 which is a fantastic deal. Cloudy Bay’s other wines are also top class, Chardonay, Te Koko and Pinot Noir are all worth trying.
クラウディ・ベイは、今週から丸の内ハウスの全レストランで、特別価格でお飲みすることができます。ソーヴィニヨン・ブランは５０００円ととてもお手頃な価格で飲むことができます。その他のクラウディ・ベイのワイン、シャルドネ、ペイ テ ココ、ピノ ノワールもとても美味しく、間違いなくトップクラスの味わいです。飲んでみる価値はありますよ。
